Jefferson City pedestrian hit by pick-up truck

A Jefferson City woman is in the hospital this morning with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

The Jefferson City Police Department said around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night Sade Owens was walking with traffic in the 3500 block of Amazonas Drive in Jefferson City, and she was hit by pick-up truck

When officers got to the scene Owens was lying on the ground speaking incoherently.

She was taken to a local hospital and then transported by a Staff for Life helicopter to the University Hospital in Columbia.

The Jefferson City Police Department said when Owens was hit by the pick-up she was wearing dark, non reflective clothing.
