Two are behind bars on drug charges

Two Maries County residents are behind bars this morning on drug related charges.

The Belle Police Department said they arrested Mathew Steen and Jerica Hays after they found methamphetamine at their home during a search in the 700 block of Taylor Street in Belle.

The two are charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They are being held in the Maries County jail on a $21,000 bond.
