JEFFERSON CITY -- Police are investigating an early morning convenience store robbery.

It happened Saturday at about 5:15 a.m. at the Breaktime Convenience Store at 810 Stadium in Jefferson City.

When officers got to the scene an employee said a white female wearing a black hoodie came in and demanded money from the cash register.

The Jefferson City Police said the employee gave an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer to the woman.

After the woman was given the money she left the store.

The employee said the woman did not display a weapon.
