AUXVASSE -- An Auxvasse alderman was arrested for distribution of Meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 30-year-old George “Trey” Baumgartner’s home in the 500 block of Elm St. in Auxvasse Friday.

The warrant was a result of an on-going investigation for the use and possession of narcotics, and sales of a controlled substance to an undercover law enforcement officer.

The South Ward Alderman was booked at the Callaway County jail on $15,000 bond.

Baumgartner was elected in April 2011.
