3 Mid-Missouri bank robbery suspects charged in 2 states

Three mid-Missourians face federal charges Thursday for a summer bank robbery.

A federal grand jury returned the indictment with the charges against Jeffrey Brent Heckman, 25, Jacob Thomas Norris, 24, and Alexia Quentasha Baker, 23. All three are from Macon.

The three are accused of stealing $1,627 from Merchants and Farmers Bank on North Rangeline in Columbia. The incident happened on July 8.

This is not only federal indictment against Heckman, Norris, and Baker. A federal grand jury in Waco, Texas charged the suspects with conspiracy to commit bank robbery and bank robbery. The incident happened at the Texell Credit Union in Temple, Texas just three days after the holdup in Columbia.

Officials arrested the three on September 5 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They were deported the next day.
