Do you turn your cell phone off while in you're in a movie theater?

If you don't you may want to start, especially if you are in a Wehrenburg theater.

Starting in September Wehrenburg Theatre's employees will escort you out of a movie with no refund, if you are caught on your cell phone.

So KRCG's Facebook Crew talked with local theaters Thursday to find out about their cellphone policy.

Capital 8 Theaters in Jefferson City doesn't follow the same policy as Wehrenburg does, but their policy is similar.

They ask everyone before every movie to put their cellphones on silent or to turn them off.

If they catch you on your phone during the film they will give you a warning, but if you have to be warned again you will be escorted out of the movie with no refund.

The shift manager said it's not just the noise from a cell phone that distracts people, it's the bright lights on the phone too.

"If you notice the auditorium gets pretty dark while a movie is going. So when you turn your cellphone on it's like turning on a flash light,” Capital 8 Theaters Erin Stovall said. “So when you check your cellphone to text or whatever, it distracts everybody around you, and it takes away from their feature that they paid for."

Stovall said she understands that some people may be expecting an important phone call or text while they're in the theater, but all she asks is for everyone to take their business outside in the lobby.

So tell us what you think. Should all theaters have a no cell phone allowed policy?
