Three arrested in Maries County meth lab bust

VIENNA -- Three people are under arrest after authorities found items used in making methamphetamine in a Maries County home.  The suspected meth lab turned up in the home of 38-year-old Vernon Helton and 37-year-old Amy Helton.  Thirty-year-old Nathan Boehm was also taken into custody.

Members of the Maries County Sheriff's Office and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group found located components of a suspected meth lab, suspected methamphetamine, suspected drug paraphernalia, and weapons in the home at 11850 Highway V in Vienna. 

Vernon Helton has been charged with felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia-amphetamine/methamphetamine.  Amy Helton faces felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia-amphetamine/methamphetamine.

Nathaniel Boehm was charged with possession of controlled substance, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia-amphetamine/methamphetamine. 

All three are in the Maries County Jail.
