The owner of a Boone County nightclub was arrested on charges of promoting prostitution.

Boone County Deputies served a search warrant Friday at Pepper's Nightclub on Highway 763 North.

They arrested the club's owner, Karon Rowe. Deputies say the business was being used for prostitution.

They seized numerous firearms and documents. Rowe was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful conversion of food stamps and promoting prostitution.

Jeremy Flanagan, a maintenance worker at the nightclub, was also arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon.

Rowe and Flanagan are convicted felons. They’ve been released on bond.

Deputies said Pepper's has been the scene of numerous shootings, stabbings and disturbances over the last several years. The investigation is ongoing.
