CAMDEN COUNTY, MO -- Some residents in the lake-area are being asked to watch how much water they use this weekend.

Ozark Shores Water Company and Public Water Supply District Number Four of Camden County want customers in the Horseshoe Bend area to conserve water. The companies said they’re experiencing unusually high demand for water because of the intense heat the past few weeks.

The companies ask that customers reduce water use on their lawns, cars, or in their pools this weekend so the water system can rebuild its reserves and maintain the necessary amount of water pressure.

Much of mid-Missouri may see some relief from the heat and dry weather this weekend. KRCG’s meteorologists are predicting thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday.
