Man gets into fight with authorities after accident

Pulaski County deputies were called to assist a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Wednesday when two men involved in an accident got into a fight.

The accident occurred on Texas Road near True Lane.

When a deputy arrived on scene in a routine manner because the fight had ended. But upon arrival a suspect got into a fight with the trooper and deputy. They called for immediate assistance.

Additional deputies and member of the St. Robert Police Department responded to the scene.

The original trooper and deputy were able to get the suspect handcuffed by the time the backup arrived. They were both taken to an area hospital for the treatment of some small cuts.

The suspect was taken to an area hospital and placed in a stress ward on a 96 hour involuntary mental commitment by court order.
