Soldiers welcomed back to Fort Leonard Wood

FORT LEONARD WOOD, MO. -- Fort Leonard Wood welcomed back the 13th and 512th Military Police Companies Wednesday afternoon at Nutter Field House.

The 13th Military Police Company deployed in the fall of 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom by providing protection for United States Forces Commanding Gen. Ray Ordierno in Iraq.

The 512th Police Company deployed in early 2010 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom by training police transition teams. A small portion of the company's soldiers are returning due to troop draw downs, while the remaining soldiers are slated to return early 2011.
