Vehicle pursuit, arrest made

STURGEON, MO. -- A Sturgeon man was arrested after he lead deputies on two vehicle pursuits.

The Boone County Sheriff's Department said around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 763, a deputy tried to stop a Ford Explorer after the vehicle passed three vehicles and drove on a section of road not intended for travel.

The vehicle pulled into a parking lot, but then sped away.

After a short pursuit, the deputy lost him.

A short time later a Highway Patrol Trooper found the vehicle and another pursuit ensued.

This time Billy Bergsieker, 34, was arrested and charged with Felony Driving While Revoked, Felony Resisting Arrest by Fleeing and Careless and Imprudent Driving.  A total bond of $9500.00 has been set.
