COLUMBIA, MO. -- Investigators don't think they'll be able to find out who left puppies out to die at the Central Missouri Humane Society.

Tuesday morning, Humane Society workers found five Border collie puppies in a small, plastic container outside their building.

They had no food or water and four of the five puppies died.

There is no surveillance video of the area where the puppies were left

The surviving puppy is with a foster family and doing well.

Central Missouri Humane Society employees accept animals during their regular business hours, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
