COLUMBIA -- The NAACP wants clemency for an African American man on Missouri’s death row.

The group met Saturday in Columbia. They say Reggie Clemons, the man convicted of the rape and murder of two girls back in 1991, is innocent.

The group also wants the public to get involved in a petition campaign to get Clemons off death row...and abolish the death penalty all together.

Another NAACP member talked about the need for the public service commission to do a better job of setting rates for utility companies like Ameren, saying residential customers get charged more than big businesses.
