CALLAWAY COUNTY, MO. -- A Callaway County woman is dead after an accident on a snow and ice covered county road.
The car crash happened on County Road 447 about 5 miles east of Route VV.
The victim was Jacqueline Chism, 22, of Mokane was a passenger in a car driven by Travis Warren, 32.
Police said the accident happened when warren lost control, ran off the road and hit a tree.
The Highway Patrol's report indicates Chism was not wearing a seatbelt, and Warren was and suffered just minor injuries.
