COLE COUNTY, MO. -- A man accused of killing two people waived his formal arraignment and pled not guilty.

David Hosier is charged with two counts of first degree murder. He is accused for shooting his ex-girlfriend Angela Gilpin, 45, and her estranged husband Rodney Gilpin, 61.

By waiving the formal arraignment, the indictments were not formally handed down to Hosier again. Instead, Hosier just plead not guilty at the Cole County courthouse.

Hosier was arrested in late September in Oklahoma, just hours after the police discovered the two bodies in a Jefferson City apartment building.

Hosier’s status hearing is scheduled for Dec. 21.
