SALINE COUNTY -- A Saline County man is dead after a car accident early Sunday.

Around 3 a.m. the highway patrol reports Mark Treece, 45, of Malta Bend lost control of his truck, ran off the right side of the road and hit a culvert.

His truck then overturned, hit two tractors, and came to rest on top of the farm equipment.

The accident happened on Highway 65, just north of Highway 240 near Marshall.

Treece was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol says he was not wearing his seatbelt.
