CALLAWAY COUNTY -- Funeral arrangements have been scheduled and a trust fund set up after a young Callaway County mother and her infant son were killed in a propane explosion at their home.

Amber Smith, 20, and her four-month-old son Simon were killed and their home destroyed Saturday in the blast.

Investigators say the explosion originated in the kitchen. They suspect the source was either the propane stove or the pipe leading to it.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday.

The "Delbert Smith Trust Fund in Loving Memory of Amber and Simon" has been set up for the husband and father who works for the city of Fulton in the streets department.

He was not home at the time of the blast.
