JEFFERSON CITY -- H1N1 or swine flu vaccines were given out for free in the community room of the Capital Mall in Jefferson City Saturday for those in priority groups.

60 volunteers vaccinated 361 people against the virus.

Pregnant women, those who care for infants less than six months old, those between the ages of six months and 24 years old, those with chronic medical problems and health care workers were the only ones given the vaccine.

Another clinic will be held next Saturday, Nov. 14 at St. Stanislaus Church in Wardsville from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cole County Health Department officials say they have about 1,000 shots to give out, and they’re expecting an additional shipment of vaccines to arrive soon.
