JEFFERSON CITY -- Legislators have been trying to find a way to keep repeat DWI offenders off Missouri roads for years.
Today Gov. Jay Nixon will bring together law enforcement officials including judges and prosecutors in Jefferson City. Their goal is to figure out a way to close gaps in Missouri's system of identifying and prosecuting repeat offenders.
The governor's office says a legislative proposal is one way to improve the system.
