A few weeks ago we brought you the story of Colton Thurman, a Lake area boy who was suffering from an inoperable brain tumor.

We are sad to say Colton passed away late Saturday night.

Along with several volunteers, we made one of his last wishes come true a few weeks ago, delivering a dump truck full of snow to his front yard. Colton was also made an honorary firefighter with the help of the Lake Ozark Fire Department.

Services for Colton will take place at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Mo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. His funeral will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent in memory of Colton to either "Just One More Day" or "I Could Be Your Child". Both are sites dedicated to pediatric brain tumor research.

You can find links to both organizations below.

I cannot imagine the family's grief right now. I'm sure he brought nothing but joy to their hearts. My deepest sympathies and I hope that God grants you peace in your hearts during this difficult time. One more angel got his wings today.
