BOONE COUNTY -- A Boone County man is in jail this morning after leading deputies on a police chase.
Just after midnight Boone County deputies made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Glenstone Drive in Columbia. During the stop the driver of the vehicle exited and fled on foot.
After a short chase deputies could not find the suspect, but found marijuana in the vehicle. That investigation led deputies to an apartment on Keene Street where they found Jonathan March, 25, of Hallsville.
He was arrested without incident and charged with possession, resisting arrest and failure to register a motor vehicle.
His bond is set at just over $4,500.
