BOONE COUNTY -- A Boone County man is sitting in jail this morning after authorities seized a marijuana growing operation.

Christopher Sweezer, 21, of Hartsburg was arrested on one count of distribution of a controlled substance, and one outstanding Cole County warrant.

Boone County Sheriff's Deputies say they found the operation at a home on the 22,000 block of Westbrook Drive in southern Boone County off Highway 63, after they were dispatched there for a cell phone 911 check yesterday evening.

They went inside to search the residence to make sure everyone was ok-that's when deputies discovered a closet containing the active operation.
