COLE COUNTY -- A man shot during a home robbery gone bad has died, and three other people now face criminal charges.

Lamar Gardner, 19, of Kansas City - one of the suspects in the crime - died last night at University Hospital in Columbia, according to Cole County Sheriff Greg White.

Gardner was among a group of six men who forced their way into a mobile home in the Frontier Trailer Court on Business Highway 50 in Apache Flats, early yesterday morning, according to White.

Court documents say the group expected to find tens of thousands of dollars in the mobile home.

They got away with only a $1000 after Gardner was shot.

Gardner's girlfriend, Natasha Wray of Kansas City, and Lauren Douglas from Cole County were also arrested last night.

A third person, Daniel Hynson - who investigators describe as Douglas's boyfriend - was arrested in Holts, Mo. Tuesday morning at 2 a.m.

The two women did not participate in the home invasion and face charges of being accessories to the crime. Hynson faces a charge of second-degree murder as it was allegedly his gun that killed Lamar Gardner.

Authorities are pursuing warrants against four other Kansas City men suspected of being participants in the robbery.

They have not yet been charged.
