JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A Jefferson City man accused in a double killing now faces federal gun charges.

David Russell Hosier has been charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives filed a complaint in federal court in Jefferson City.

The Jefferson City News-Tribune reported Thursday that police found rifle cases and 100 rounds of five different types of ammunition in Hosier's residence. He was convicted in Indiana of battery.

Hosier also faces various state charges in Missouri. They include two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of 45-year-old Angela Gilpin and 61-year-old Rodney Gilpin.

Hosier was arrested Monday in Oklahoma about seven hours after the bodies were discovered
