A former mid-Missouri mayor facing child abuse charges had his case dismissed today.

Ken Storla of Clark, Mo. was scheduled to stand trial on charges he molested two young female relatives.

He faced charges of incest, first-degree molestation, and first-degree statutory sodomy.

The attorney general's office said that the case was dismissed because of problems with evidence and that the case would be refiled, but could not give a timetable for that.

Storla served one term as mayor of the small Randolph County town from 2002 to 2004.
