A trend straight from New York and Los Angeles has set up shop in Columbia.
Encore is one of the first eateries in the Midwest to specialize exclusively in desserts and wine.
Owner Adam Guy says every item on their menu is hand made from scratch.
He also says Encore emphasizes a relaxing experience and focuses on the presentation of its desserts as much the as taste.
"From day one when we started planning this, we said that we were going to create the ultimate dessert experience for every single customer. And we really that we've done that every single night--and that's why people keep coming in."
Guy opened Encore inside The Upper Crust.
He says that his new restaurant appeals to people from all age groups.
Encore will also be featured on CBS Sunday morning, this Sunday.
