Alice In Chains came to the Blue Note playing a sold out acoustic show. Their tour made its way to Columbia after traveling for over 8 weeks. Fans were excited to see the band along with new vocalist William Duvall. Duvall replaces Layne Staley who died of a drug overdose in April 2002.

Opening local band Speakeasy out of Springfield are excited for the oppurtunity to open for such a big act. Guitarist Reed Herron said, "these guys have been heros-heros of mine for a long time-all of us."

Speakeasy keyboardist Marcus Chatman explained, "[We're] breaking it down doing an acoustic set as well. Normally we do an electric set since [Alice in Chains] are doing an acoustic set we decided we'd do the same."
