No such thing.

There is no such thing as an accidental discharge. Period. It is in fact a negligent discharge and there is no excuse for it. I am glad this fellow was not seriously injured, and even more so that he did not injure anyone else. Hopefully he will learn from this incident and ALWAYS clear his weapons prior to any inspection and or maintenance. And for the rest of us firearms owners; let this be a reminder not to be complacent. Safety is between our ears, and not in any mechanical device. Happy holidays and be safe out three.
