Seven Missouri public safety officers will receive medals of valor today.
Gov. Nixon will hand out the state's highest public safety award to those people for their acts of bravery, which saved the lives of Missourians last year.
Two of those honored are Fulton firefighters, credited with saving a woman's life in February of 2008.
Engineers Todd Gray and Daniel Berry were trapped along with another firefighter inside a burning house. The firefighters helped the woman out of the house through the front bedroom window. They then climbed out as well and had to be treated for injuries.
