ROLLA, MO. -- The Phelps County Sheriff’s Department and the Rolla Police Department arrested two California men for drug trafficking cocaine.

Rigoberto Gutierrez-Ortez, age 45, from Los Angeles, California and Victor Sanchez-Penaloza, age 50, of El Monte, California were arrested after they were pulled over by a deputies.

The deputy got suspicious during questioning and searched the car. During the search, the deputy found 10 bricks of cocaine under the dashboard behind the glove box.

The bricks weighted between 2.62 and 2.75 pounds each.  Based on the weight and the present price of the illegal narcotic, the street value is estimated between $280,000.00 and $320,000.00.

Both suspects are in the custody of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Everyone can make comments when a cop is in the news for something bad then nothing when one does something good. I say GOOD JOB!
