COLUMBIA -- A man wanted in Columbia for shooting a teenager is finally picked up by police in Tennessee.

William Darnell McNeary, 24, was arrested on drug charges in Knoxville on Oct. 30.

Investigators think McNeary is the man who shot and wounded a 15 year-old boy walking on Benton Street on July 31.

The 15-year-old was hit in the hand and leg.

Columbia Police did take McNeary into custody as a person of interest after that shooting, but released him for a lack of evidence.
