MILLER COUNTY -- An elderly Eldon woman was killed when the car in which she was riding was struck by another vehicle in Miller County yesterday on Highway 52 at VFW Road.

The highway patrol says Clara Schulte, 88, was in a car driven by Naomi Jenkins, 76, of Tuscumbia. Jenkins made a left turn, moving into the path of a car driven by Tina Murphy, 40, of Linn Creek.

Schulte was pronounced dead at the scene. Jenkins was life flighted to University Hospital. Murphy, the second driver, was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
