A traffic stop early Sunday morning in Maries County ended with three people behind bars.

MARIES COUNTY -- Maries County deputies attempted to pull the car over on Highway 63 near Vienna. After coming to a stop, the car sped away at nearly 100 miles per hour. Deputies were finally able to stop the car near Vichy.

Driving the car was Nicole Swoboda, 23, of Rosebud, Mo. Her two passengers were William Wyrick, 17, of Owensville and Samantha White, 18, of Gerald.

Police also found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the car.

An anhydrous ammonia tank, often used in the meth-making process, was also thrown from the vehicle during the chase and nearly hit a patrol vehicle.

Maries County Sheriff Chris Heitman says when anhydrous ammonia is transported in a non-approved container it is very dangerous and can often be deadly.

Swoboda, Wyrick, and White all face drug charges and several felonies. All three are being held in the Maries County Jail. Swoboda is currently held on an $18,000 bond. Wyrick and White are being held on $4,500 bonds.
