US marshall, local law enforcement catch fugitive

MILLER COUNTY -- A joint effort with the US Marshall's office, Camden County Sheriff’s Department, Miller County Sheriff’s Department and Eldon County Police Department caught fugitive Curtis Jones, 45 of Eugene, Mo.

Camden County Police contacted Miller County Police after investigating Jones and finding a possible phone number. The Miller County Police did a reverse directory check and found the location 68 Eugene Road just outside of Eugene.

Miller County Sheriff’s Department, Eldon County K-9 Unit and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force responded to the location. Jones was arrested and taken to the Miller County Adult Detention Center.

Jones was picked up on two outstanding warrants

Jones is currently awaiting extradition.

This is not the same Curtis Jones that is a fugitive on the run after escaping from the Howard County jail Monday morning.
