VERSAILLES -- UPDATE: Wed., April 22, 5:22 p.m.:
More information in the case of a Versailles teacher accused of having sex with students.
25-year-old Mark Garber was charged Tuesday with second-degree statutory sodomy.
Court documents obtained by KRCG report that two female students from the Versailles school district, one age 16, the other age 17, invited Garber to one of their homes in early March, where the first sexual encounter took place.
Police say Garber later had additional contact with the 17-year-old girl.
The girl tells authorities both she and Garber knew their relationship was "not appropriate" and they agreed to not tell anyone.
Garber was employed as a long-term substitute teacher at the Versailles school district, meaning he was in the process of completing his coursework to become a certified teacher.
