COLUMBIA -- An Ithaca College communications dean is headed to Columbia, Missouri as Stephens College's next president.
Dianne Lynch is the 24th president of the women's college in Columbia founded in 1833. She succeeds Wendy Libby, who takes over as president of Stetson University in Florida.
Lynch is dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in upstate New York. She previously taught journalism at Saint Michael's College in Vermont, was executive director of the Online News Association and was a Christian Science Monitor columnist.
She starts at Stephens College on June 2.
