Haymes said, "Well so far, I love it. I'm excited because they have the Ben and Jerry's flavors that I have been looking for. I really found every single thing that I needed. The prices were amazing."
Target officials are making changes like this to their stores all across the country. Their goal is giving their customers one stop shopping. The grocery store is new to Columbia's Target. However, customers will find all kinds of changes throughout the entire store. The remodeling included a new pharmacy, expanded beauty supplies and a larger electronics section. Target managers hope these changes help them compete in Columbia's grocery store wars.
Store Team Leader Emily Houk said, "We have a lot of general merchandise that we really pride ourselves in while being able to bring trendy items to our guests. We just have an added initiative to our general merchandise that we already carry."
The Columbia Target Store will have plenty of remodel specials during their grand re-opening on Sunday.
