Update: Thursday, May 10th at 9:00 p.m.:

After talking to the subject of the lawsuit, Lisa Oldendorf, KRCG has recieved her side of the story.  Oldendorf says that the main issue was with getting her license renewed. She also says that she is getting the license renewed, so she can close her kennel down, which she says is related to personal issues, not to how she ran the facility.

As far the sanitation and identification issues were concerned, Oldendorf says they were minor issues which were all addressed by her promptly.

She says the Attorney General's office is working with her on the matter, and she expects the lawsuit to be dropped on Monday, May 14th.

Original Story

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster has filed a lawsuit against a Morgan County dog breeder who ran a facility without a license.

Koster said that the breeder, Lisa Oldendorf, ran Oldendorf Boxer out of Barnett and violated the Animal Care Facilities Act and the Canine Cruelty Prevention Act.

According to the Attorney General's office, there were 15 dogs in the facility at the time.

The numerous offenses listed in the lawuit include:

-faling to provide an adequate waste disposal and drainage system.
-failing to indentify the dogs and keep records of identification.
-failing to keep area clear of insects and other vermin.
-allowing the room temperature to fall below the minimum required.
-failing to protect the foundation from moisture and water damage.

Koster is asking for a temporary restraining order barring Oldendorf from conducting any further breeding business, as well as assess her $1,000 per violation of the Animal Care Facilities Act.

A hearing is scheduled in the Morgan County Court for May 17.
