Officers participate in Special Olympics torch run

COLUMBIA, MO -- Wednesday is the 25th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics.

Officers will begin their run in Columbia at the University of Missouri’s Police Department and end in Jefferson City at the Capitol.

Participating agencies will run in one mile increments until they reach the Capitol at 11:45 a.m. for a special celebration with Gov. Nixon and other law enforcement agencies.
