A mother and daughter who have been reported missing may be in danger.

Chariton County Sheriff Chris Hughes said 28-year-old Rachel Koechner and her daughter, 4-year-old Zoee Sandner, were reported missing last Thursday evening by Rachel's mother. That's when they were last seen in Rothville, Mo.

The Sheriff's Department believes they are in the Kansas City area with Rachel's ex-husband and Zoee's father, Devon Sandner. Police said Rachel called authorities from a Blue Springs motel, but no one was there when police arrived Monday morning.

Police say Koechner has brown hair and blue eyes, is 5'5" and weighs 200 pounds. She has a tattoo of a mushroom ring on her left ankle. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and camoflage-colored cowboy boots.

Zoee Sandner has brown hair and blue eyes, is 4' and weighs 63 pounds.

Deputies say there have been domestic abuse incidents involving Devon in the past. Authorities have issued an Endanger Missing Person Advisory for the two.

Devon is 37 years old.  He has brown eyes, is 6'3" and weighs 215 pounds.

Police say he was driving a gray 2003 Ford F150 pick-up truck with MO plates 0PJ718.

Devon has made threats to do physical harm to Rachel before, and both parents have a history of mental illness. Rachel has been taken off her medication, according to authorities.

If you have any information about the case, call your local law enforcement agency.
