Two Mid-Missouri cities are using emergency snow routes in responde to today's snowfall.

The Jefferson City Police Department released a statement saying that "No person shall stop, stand, park, or abandon a vehicle in a manner which obstructs or impedes traffic on a snow route. Any vehicle obstructing or impeding traffic in violation of this prohibition and any vehicle parked on a street which has been designated a snow route will be considered an abandoned vehicle and may be towed to an alternate location."

Jefferson City's snow emergency declaration will last until noon tomorrow. The city's bus service, JeffTran, has been suspended and trash will not be collected today or tomorrow.

Sedalia is also using a snow emergency route. You can see it here.
