This year's Black Friday bargain hunt is beginning early in many places. Tents were spotted outside the Jefferson City Best Buy store as early as 7pm Wednesday. The store doesn't open until 12:01am Thursday morning.
But for many employees, they will not get the day off for Thanksgiving. Stores like Bass Pro Shop and Orscheln Farm and Home will be open Thursday.
Some stores in the Columbia Mall are beating the midnight rush by opening early. Sears will open at 8:00pm Thursday with Target following at 9:00pm. Many other Columbia Mall stores will open at midnight.
The Capital Mall in Jefferson City will also see many stores open at midnight. JC Penney is marketing itself as a place where you can "sleep-in" and still get Black Friday bargains. The store will be one of the latest to open at 6:00am Friday.
