Delta Airlines will eliminate the Columbia to Memphis flight this fall.
Steven Sapp with the city of Columbia says the suspension will start Friday, November 2nd. In March of 2013, Delta will resume three flights a day, but the early morning flight will fly to Atlanta and not Memphis.
Delta's decision to eliminate the Memphis flight was consumer driven. Sapp says the demand is higher for the flights to Atlanta.
The city announced last week that starting November 20th, Frontier Airlines will start a Columbia to Orlando, Florida flight on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
