48-year-old David Kryzsik was arrested Thursday, suspected of holding up a Mid-Missouri bank and for attempting to rob another one.

Authorities said late Thursday morning a man wearing a disguise entered the First State Bank in Iberia, showed a gun and demanded cash.

A bank employee gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash and told Miller County Deputies he left in a tan colored car.

Then, less than a half hour later, Sheriff Bill Abbott and the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a vehicle matching the description from the First State Bank Employee pulled into the Central Bank in Tuscumbia.

Bank employees there had already been alerted and had locked the door.

The sheriff said the suspect got back in his car and drove off.

Two Missouri State Troopers located the Waynesville man driving behind the Tuscumbia City Hall and arrested him.

Kryzsik is in the Miller County Jail pending charges.

Original Story:

A suspect is in custody after the First State Bank in Iberia was robbed around 11:40 a.m. Thursday.

A bank employee said the man walked in and put a gun on the teller's counter and demanded cash. Then the man fled out their doors and drove away heading northbound on Highway 17 in a gold Toyota.

According to police reports; officers caught the suspect about fifteen minutes later in Tuscumbia.

There are reports the man robbed a second bank, but that has not been confirmed.
