JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- Former bank branch manager was indicted by a grand jury for embezzling $30,000 from his soccer league.

Michael Robert Rettke, 41, of Columbia was charged with embezzling money from accounts of the Central Missouri Soccer League.

Rettke was the bank branch manager at Boone County National Bank, where the soccer league maintained its account. Rettke was also the league treasurer and coach for the local soccer team the Bears.

The indictment alleges that, as early as 2008 to January 2010, Rettke used his access to the soccer league accounts to embezzle money into his private accounts. Rettke used the money to pay his mortgage and other personal matters.
