A Holts Summit man will not go on trial in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s baby.

Bryan Sartor pleaded guilty in Callaway County Court Monday to endangering the welfare of a child and possession of marijuana.

Sartor and Megan Ayres were charged last June after authorities found Ayres’ baby dead in their Holts Summit mobile home.

An autopsy showed 9-month-old Kyson Weathers died of natural causes, but Sartor and Ayres admitted to using meth the day before. They also told authorities they didn’t check on the baby for at least 12 hours.

Earlier this year, Ayres was sentenced to five years in prison on drug and child endangerment charges.

Sartor will be sentenced in April.
