	The Central Missouri Babywearers meet the 1^st Saturday of every month. The next meeting is on May 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Friends Room at the Columbia Public Library. Learn babywearing safety, different carries, and types of carriers. You are encouraged to bring your carrier with you to the meeting.
	Kitchens in Bloom is a self-guided tour of four fabulous homes in Columbia that have recently remodeled kitchens. Held annually each spring, Kitchens in Bloom reaches 300+ people interested in home remodeling, interior design, home décor, gardening, gourmet cooking, entertaining, and related areas. When: Sunday, May 5th, 2013 from 12pm – 4pm Where: This year’s homes are: Nick & Laura Detert - 1009 Lagrange Court Charlie & Jean Gibbens - 3300 Westcreek Circle Bob & Connie Pugh - 1411 Torrey Pines Drive Mike & Kerri Urban - 110 Clinton Drive Cost: Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Ticket price includes a mini-cooking class at Inside Columbia’s Culinary Adventures, 47 East Broadway. Class will be at 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm. 	The Salute to Veterans Corporation will celebrate their 25^th year at the 2013 Memorial Day Weekend Celebration. The Salute to Veterans Airshow will be held on May, 25^th and May 26^th from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 27^th their will be a parade in Downtown Columbia at 9:55 a.m. with a Salute to Veterans Memorial Day Ceremony immediately following the parade at the Boone County Courthouse Veterans Memorials. 	Jefferson City’s 8^th annual Gallery Crawl, Art Exposed, Friday, May 3, 2013 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Free Admission. 	Lake BBQ announces Barbeque Contest to Benefit Local Scout Troop. Lake Ozark, MO will play host to Missouri State Championship, KCBS sanctioned barbeque competition and blues music weekend. On the weekend of May 17^th. The barbeque competitors from all over will converge in the parking lot at 1000 Bagnell Dam Blvd. Saturday afternoon judging will take place in seven categories. Prizes of over $10,000 will be awarded. Prizes will also be awarded for local restaurants. The Grand Champion winner becomes eligible for invitation to the Jack Daniel’s World Championship and The American Royal World Series of Barbeque.
