GameDay was in town for the MU vs. kU game!

While this winter has been pretty mild, it’s been cold enough to keep me and Milo inside just about every weekend.  Well a couple weekends ago I guess you could say we got cabin fever, so I decided to take the pup to one of my favorite places on earth: the Mizzou campus!  It also just happened to be a year to the day I took him to Mizzou for the first time.

Last year, I remember I wanted to take pretty scenic photos of campus blanketed in snow from the blizzard.  At the time, Milo was four months old, just big enough to where I thought he could handle a decently long walk with lots of people distractions.

(You can read about Milo’s first adventure on MU’s campus here.)

This year, it was the day of the MU/kU game.  ESPN’s GameDay was in town and there was a great vibe in the air.  I just couldn’t stay away from campus with all the excitement going on!  So, even though it was misting and wet from an overnight storm, Milo and I made our way to campus for a quick stroll.

Before we even crossed the street to go over by the big tiger statue, a guy leaned out of his car and screamed “I love your dog!”  It’s always nice getting compliments like that :)

Milo was a little squirmy at first, but he relaxed pretty quickly.  This was a big change from our trip to campus last year.  At that time, he was eager to walk around, sniff everything, and meet everyone.  This time, he didn’t yank on the leash every time someone approached us.  He had a cooler “I’ve-been-here-before” approach.  He definitely has matured some since last February!

Last year also was when I took a photo of Milo sitting on one of the columns.  It was such a hit with Milo’s dad (Jason) and our friends and family that I decided to take another photo.  Plus because it was a year later to the day, it was a great opportunity to do a “One Year Later”-type photo.  Take a look at the difference!

I also took some cute photos of Milo wearing a hat I had on that day… you can see those photos and all the other pictures I took that day here.

While it was nice to get out of the house and go for a walk again, the weather wasn’t perfect.  I just can’t wait for spring to get here so we can go on more adventures!

Stay tuned for more!
