The presents were found and returned by a Columbia Housing Authority employee
Columbia may have its own Grinch. Chadwick Simmons was arrested Monday for stealing Christmas presents on Dec. 12. Security footage from the Columbia Housing Authority show Simmons leaving the home, located on Lincoln Drive, with a bag of items. Simmons had apparently been in the residence earlier and knew the gifts were there. The presents were returned after a Columbia Housing Authority employee found them at 208 Unity. Simmons faces a bond of $4,500 for second-degree burglary and a bond of $500 for stealing.
